JOB PROFILE:

Successful, growing packaging industry leader seeks a Production/Operations Guru for its corrugated packaging converting facility. We are looking for one who can be groomed for promotion and who has a track record of success and experience in the following areas:

Responsible for production supervisors, scheduling, safety, shipping, and day-to-day production operations.
Experience planning the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations in support of the converting operation
Oversee delivery and quality issues
Handle the daily production planning and balancing
Lead the Lean management techniques and plant optimization initiatives
Conduct manufacturing cost analysis activities and track production metrics
Participate in labor negotiations, agreements, etc.
Work cross functionally to lead the manufacturing portion of the new product development process, including tooling/equipment requirements, fabrication of parts, fixture design and final assembly

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and protocols
Union labor and factory experience
Corrugated packaging converting and supervisory/management experience
Bachelors degree Engineering preferred
